These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of DnD Manager (the “Service”), a web application for managing DnD characters, campaigns, NPCs, calendar sessions, and related reference data.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who operates the Service
DnD Manager may be run on your own computer or by an administrator of a shared installation. The person or organization that hosts your instance is responsible for operating it, securing the server, and deciding how long data is retained.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your password confidential.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
- You must be able to form a binding agreement under the laws that apply to you.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break the law or infringe others’ rights while using the Service.
- Attempt to access another user’s account or data without permission.
- Disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service except as allowed by law.
- Upload malware or content that is unlawful, harassing, or clearly inappropriate for a shared tabletop tool.
- Use the Service to spam or abuse invitation and sharing features.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of characters, campaigns, notes, NPCs, and other material you create (“User Content”). You grant the Service operator a limited license to store, display, and process User Content only as needed to provide the Service to you and to people you share with.
When you share a character or add someone to a campaign, those users may see content you made available to them according to the permissions you chose.
5. Reference catalogs and intellectual property
Game reference catalogs (such as classes, spells, or items) may include material based on publicly available fifth-edition DnD rules resources. DnD Manager is an unofficial fan tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast. DnD and related marks are trademarks of their respective owners.
The Service software, branding, and original interface design are provided for use with the Service. You may not claim ownership of the Service itself.
6. Sharing and campaigns
- Campaign owners can invite members and manage linked characters and NPCs.
- Campaign-scoped calendar events and shared notes may be visible to campaign members.
- Personal calendar events and personal campaign notes remain private to you.
- You should only share content with people you trust.
7. Exports, imports, and backups
Export creates downloadable JSON copies of selected data. Import creates new copies and does not overwrite existing records. You are responsible for safeguarding exported files.
8. Billing
Paid plans may be previewed in the Service but are not billed unless a future paid feature is clearly offered and you explicitly subscribe. Until then, core features are provided without charge under these Terms.
9. Availability and changes
The Service is provided “as is.” Features may change, and the operator may suspend access for maintenance, abuse, or legal reasons. We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-data damages arising from your use of the Service. Tabletop game outcomes, homebrew content accuracy, and third-party catalog materials are your responsibility to verify for your table.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. The operator may suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms or for operational/security reasons. After termination, User Content may be deleted according to the operator’s retention practices.
12. Contact
Questions about these Terms should be directed to the administrator of your DnD Manager installation.
This page is a practical agreement for using DnD Manager. It is not personalized legal advice.
